Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and acted as the crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of police response in response to DUI incidents in Charleston led to an investigation conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter and anchor, prior to her joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell anchors the main newscast for Access Hollywood. In addition she has contributed to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. The anchor has hosted a number of pre-show arrivals to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Co-hosted Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants. Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
